Gordon Davis, all of Oshawa. --Photo by Sneyd Outline Curriculum to Parents At Combined H-S Meeting Prior to the completion of the new Hillsdale Public School, two complete schools are under one roof at Dr. S. J. Phillips. President Mrs. Malcolm Adam has invited parents from Hil!s- dale to share the Home and School meetings with the mem- bers of Dr. S. J. Phillips Asso- ciation. The beginning of another term of Dr. S. J. Phillips' Home and School activities was marked with a more than capacity crowd overflowing the auditorium. The meeting took the form of instruction night for parents who visited their chil- dren's classrooms. Through the co-operation of the teachers of both schools, parents had the opportunity to actually sit in school and have the full year's curriculum explained to them. Instruction sheets prepared by the individual teachers were dis- tributed to each parent. Before leaving the auditorium to visit the - classrooms, Mrs Malcolm Adam conductd a short business meeting. She an- nounced that in June the Home and School Association had pre- sented the awards to the three students with the highest aca- demic standing in Grade 8.
