TELEPHONE 723-4634 Firm Officers Accused Of Using Funds . NEW YORK (AP) -- Officers of the Bon Ami Company were accised in state Supreme Court Tuesday of diverting about $500,000 of the company funds to their own use through conporations, false en- dummy \] | tries and kickbacks. The plaintiffs were Tel-a-Sign, Inc., Chicago - based sign and advertising materials company, described as owning 16.5 per cent of Bon Ami's stock, and Mr. and Mrs. Olen Webb of New York City, also sharehold- ers. ' Named as defendants were R. Paul Weesner, board chair- man; Emil Morosini Jr., a di- rector, vice-pretsident and sec- retary of the company, and Bernard E. McFarland, Ralph A. Schwaikert and Walter W. Cruttenden Jr., all directors. Justice Frederick Backer signed an order calling upon the defendants to show cause F'ri- day why a receiver should not be appointed to oversee com- pany affairs. The suing stockholders charged that the defendant of- ficers entered into 'schemes and devices" to conceal trans- fers of funds by improper en- tries in Bon Ami's books. Weesner later issued a state- ment saying "there hasn't been one cent stolen from Bon Ami" and describing the suit as an "attempt at a 'raid' with a view to forcing Bon Ami to merge with Tel-a-Sign,"" He said it would be fought '"'vigor- ously." FOOTBALL FATALITY DAYTON, Ohio (AP)--A 14 year-old high school boy died Tuesday in the first fatality of Ohio's 1962 football season. James Pfeiffenberger of Xenia was the victim of a brain hemorrhage suffered during practice with the John Carroll High School squad east of Day- ton. He was dead on arrival at hospital. A coroner's investigator, Jack Reese, blamed the construction of the player's helmet: for the fatal injury incurred during tackling drills. + SALLY'S SALLIES OH, I'VE MISSED YOU $6 --SINCE YOU ABANDONED ME.
