(CP) -- Otto and Maria Jelinek, the brother and sister team who currently hold the world championship in pairs skating have turned pro-| fessional. / John M. Harris, president- producer of the Ice Capades, announced the signing Friday in New York. Maria, 19, and Otto, 22, who make their pro debut on Aug. 29 at Madison Square Garden in New York, won the world championship in Prague, Czech- slovakia, the city of their birth. Last March they captured the North American championship port - export business because Maria was not yet 21, and the company, with Otto and Maria travelling constantly, would be in a better position to handle their professional engagements, explained Frank Jelinek, a paft- ner in the firm.
