GEORGE WHITBREAD Grandchildren Greet Couple Celebrating 50th Anniversary Mr..and Mrs. George Whit- bread, Colborne Street East, were honored by their children, grandchildren and great-grand- children on Sunday, July 1, on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary. Thirty members of the family were present at a dinner held at the South End Restaurant. Mr. and Mrs. Whitbread were greeted by three grandchildren, William Whitbread who ad- dressed the anniversary couple and Judy and Ronald Whit- bread who presented a corsage of red roses and a boutonniere. After dinner Mr. and Mrs. Whitbread were presented with a money tree and many wishes for more happy years together. They also received a telephone call from a granddaughter, Joy Fraser, who is a_ patient in Victoria Hospital, London, On- tario. The guests then met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whitbread, Hortop avenue, where a family reunion was held. Mr. and Mrs. Whitbread were married at Sunderland July 1, 1912.
