Telephone: 248-3444 DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS ONTARIO, By DAVE OANCIA LONDON (CP) -- The lineup of forces for and against Brit- ish membership in the Europ- ean Common Market remains unchanged after the two - day Parliamentary deb a te that ended Thursday. Prime Minister Macmillan's government failed to win any converts to the idea that Brit- ain should seek a place in the European Economic Commu- nity, commonly known as the Common Market. The Labor party maintained its position of refusing to come out either for or against join- ing until the broad outlines of a possible agreement are known, The anti-Common Marketeers in both parties remained un- moved by the assurances and expositions given by govern- ment leaders. Their campaign is expected to become more in- tense in the coming months. The opposition has made it plain that it would fight any moves to join the Community if Commonwealth and other in- terests are not safeguarded.
