Beauty Strip has scored five wins on the Ontario circuit, the last four in succession, and is the first horse to accomplish such a feat this year. She paid $12.90 to win. Despite Beauty Strip's im- pressive record, the crowd of 6,586 didn't regard her as a threat in the race which had Queen's Plate nominees Flaven and Ginfields in the field. At the wire Beauty Strip was a head in front of Own Colleen, owned by Windfields Farm. The quinella of Beauty Strip and Own Colleen returned a sub- stantial $86.10, The seventh arce, another al- lowance event at one mile, was won by Queen's Plate nominee Navy Jay, owned by Harry Burton of Hamilton. Windkin, which finished second and Mon- arch Park in third position, are also eligible for the 103rd run- ning of the plate. REMEMBER WHEN... ?
