Hot chocolate. was made and served by Mrs. Nor- man Adair and Miss Pat Mc- Intyre. The Young Couples' Club of the Circuit held a skating party at the outdoor mnk in Oshawa which was very successful. SS No. 8 Home and School was well attended to see the film The Growth of a Child. Guest speaker was Mrs. Julia Roberts, County Health Nurse from the Durham Health Unit. She spoke on the film and an- swered questions put forth from the parents. It was decided to hold Open House on February 8. The members of Courtice Church UCW who attended the United Church Women's Pres- byterial at King Street United Church recently were Mrs Horace Vetzel, Mrs. Orme Rob- ertson, Mrs. A. Wilkins, Mrs. Cecil Adams, Mrs. Don Cowle and Mrs. Clarence Penfound. A second Unit of the UCW of Courtice United Church was held at the church, with Mrs. Maurice Gray as the leader of the group.
