The sell-off occurred in the space of an hour and a half as rumors flew around the trading floor that the company had missed on a drill hole on its copper property in the Jacnes Bay area. The stock had moved up in October on news that copper hai been found on the site. Lake Dufault was quiet during the week and closed at $6.05 a share, ahead 30 cents. Index changes at Toronto: Industrials up 5.50 at 618.79; golds up 1.92 at 91.14; base metals up 2.91 at 216.41; and western oils up 4.94 at 119.36. On index at Montreal: Banks off v.58 at 74.92; utilities up 1.0 at 144.9; industrial up 1.6 at 339.9; combined up 2.1 at 24.9; and golds off 2.30 at 83,42.
