Two delegates from Russell attended, Mrs. Marjorie Dugdale, North Russell Women's Institute and Mrs. Judi Hubbard, Russell Village Women's Institute. Emphasis was placed on the im- portance of promoting a good public image of the 'Women's In- stitute -- through interesting pro- grams, worthwhile projects -- and arousing the enthusiasm of our members. Five hundred and seventy-five delegates representing all parts of Ontario gained valuable informa- tion from study sessions and guest speakers. A report from the District Ollie. ~Loral Home | Hardware Board Meeting was given by Mrs.. E. Hamelin. Plans were finalized for the District Annual Meeting to be held on May 20th in the United Church. Again it was decided to enter all the local fairs and the Ottawa Ex- hibition. Mrs. C. Bekkers gave the mot- to, 'Of all things you wear, your expression is the most important.' To conclude the meeting, a plant auction was enjoyed by all those present. Lunch was served by Miss E.~ Curry, Mrs. E. Hamelin and Mrs. K. Lake.
