Chester Cherry Just two days before he and his wife were to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at the Russell United Church Hall, death took Chester Cherry, from his home in the Senior Citizens' Residence. He suffered a fatal heart attack. He was taken to hospital by am- bulance and died shortly after ar- rival. Mr. Cherry was born in Russell in 1900. He married Edythe Fader at Marvelville on March 30, 1921. Death calls on eve of 60th After farming north of Russell for many years they moved to Ot- tawa. They returned to Russell when Mr. Cherry retired. They have been active in the community and the United Church where Mr. Cherry sang in the choir. Maynard Cherry of Russell is a son. A daughter, Mrs. William McKeown lives in Edwards, another, Mrs. Clayton Elliott in Ottawa, and a third, Mrs. Paul Parlee, in Powassan, B.C.
