Loral Home Hardware Home & Farm Supplies | Meditorial By Rev. Jim Paul > During the last few years, some new facts have come to light about the historisity of Jesus and the truthfulness of the scriptures. Recently, a group of scientists have made some amazing statements concerning their study of "The Shroud of Turin" -- believed to be the burial clothes of Jesus. Not only do the studies show that the "Shroud" is impregnated with a 2,000 year old human image, but there is also evidence that this man had received wounds to the head, hands, feet and on his back -- the marks of a Roman whip. After all the tests were completed, these world class scientists stated, in a sense of wonder, that they considered '"'The Shroud of Turin" to be authentic. Truth will always stand the test of time. Another study has been done by a medical doctor on Apostle John's account of Christ's crucifixion. Again, the results reveal the absolute in- tegrity of the bible. This physician focused on John 19:34 which says 'fone of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water". It has been medically proven, so the doctor contends, that when a person is under extreme emotional and physical anguish, the heart can rupture and spill blood into the abdominal cavi- ty. Herein is the explanation why both water and blood flowed out of Jesus' side -- He died of a broken heart. ; Household Effects and Antiques 43 Craig St., Russell Village SATURDAY, MAY 9th, 1 P.M.
