Page 4 Friday, October 7, 1977 Castor Review SPORTS Burt's Beauties Bag Big One Recreation Report This year at the Arena you will be seeing two new faces, Bill Cherry and Yvon Haman, both from Russell, who will be acting as lead hands in the absence of the manager. The ice has been successfully installed with the cooperation of Bill and Yvon, making our ice the earliest available in the area for the season. Therefore many of the out-of-town teams have booked their ice time with our centre. Pre-season ice time is now over and we are into our scheduled season. All contract- ed ice time has been booked, leaving free ice time mainly late in the evening or during a week public skating on Tuesdays from 4-5 p.m. and a charge of 50c per person on Sundays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Please phone 445-2050 if anyone is interested in renting the hall, due to the fact that there is a new policy concerning the rentals. The planned judo classes for this fall have been cancelled, due to the shortage of mats. If anyone 18 years or over is interested there is still time to sign up for Women's Floor Hockey. You are asked to go to Osgoode High School's gym, Oct. 5th at 7:30 p.m. or phone Don Empey at 445-5645 for more information. day from 4-5 p.m. We have extended our season by starting earlier and closing later, there- fore hoping for a much more _ "Moms and Tots" program is The Russell Lions Club Junior Girls fastball team Cousineau, Debbie Ledger, Kathy Ouellete, in the process of being initiated. has won the season league championship and the Debbie Woods.
