Thirty-two girls from Russell, North Russell and area, completed the Spring Project "Clothes for Leisure". Many types of beautiful leisure wear were made by the girls ranging from caftans, housecoats, pyjamas and nightgowns, to shorts, halters, Slacks, bib overalls, long skirts, blouses, leisure type shirts and short skirts with ¢o-ordinating tops, all made from many types of fabrics. Cathy McNeil, Brenda Prevost, Sandra McNeil and Susan Young of Russell Club No. 1, under the leadership of Mrs. Baird McNeil and Miss Ina Bols, presented an exhibit entitled "Trims with Imagination". Highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of "Advanced Honours" to Mrs. Shirley -- Vedder for the completion of 18 projects. She received a certificate of honour and a ster_._ silver server. This is the third daughter of Mrs. Wilmer Hamilton to' have received such an honour. County honours were presented to Marlene Shirley for the completion of six projects. She 'received a certificate of honour and a sterling silver pin. Each girl receives a sterling silver = teaspoon for having completed each project. The Fall project will be "Let's Bake Bread". g
