Before going west some years ago, Mr. At- kinson was with Mr. Dowd on the farm in Mornington. He recently had an auction sale and intends dis- posing of his property in the west. Frank C. Kelly went to Chatham Tuesday to take the part of Sherlock Holnies, in the play “Isle of Love,” being put on that evening under the direction of Mr. NeVille, who staged the same play here recently. The chap who was to take the part of the ‘famous detective didn’t have the right stuff in him for such a role, and at the eleventh hour is reported to have got ‘‘cold feet,” with the result that Frank got a hurry-up call. In order to fill the engagement he had to make a quick run to Stratford, where he caught the train. BORN a *-——+ r?
