- LETTERS~"= EDITOR Port Perry, On April' 30, 1971 Dear Mr. Hvidsten, May |, through the gen erosity of your paper, express to the people of our village, my Upanks for thew generous support of the now completed "Neighbour to Neighbour" envelope drive for the Ability Pund (March of Dimes)" Barmag one unfortunate ex- perience, our drive would have been more successful than in previous years. As it now stands we have raised $655.71. I do nde believe we will attempt this type of canvass again as our captains have all sprouted gtey hairs due to increased worry of chasing| in Nathan Phillips Square, envelopes when they become tardy. Usually this canvas is completed within the moath This year it has taken three months! I do especially wish to thank the area captains, Mrs. Mary Brinkman, Norma Kenny, Mrs. Jame Litt, Mrs. Merle St. John, Mrs. Paye Dowson, Mrs. Ruth Short and Mrs. Mary Baird for without their assis- tance it would have been umpossibie to experiment with this new way of collecting money. Also many thanks to the Port Perry Star, who are always s© co-operative and generous with their coverage of every campaign event carried on in town Many thanks, (Mrs. Grant McDermott) The Port Perry Star, Port Perry, Ontario Attention: The Editor, Dear Sir The Ontario County Tuber- culosisand Respiratory Disease Association is in no way con- nected with the Bronchial Asthma Foundation, currently soliciting funds for asthma and/or other respiratory di- seases.
