The other celebrant will be Roy Seott on Thursday but he is some years short of Mrs. Sleep's record. Lovely baskets of flowers were placed in the church on Sunday in memory of the late Mrs. Stinson. Communion was observed with Rev. Mc. Neil and Wm. Keen assist- ing Rev. Critch. Program numbers at S.S. have been missing lately but this week Mrs. Barr's class of seniors had a short exer- cise for us. The Y-.P. class usually taught by Morley Bruce had visitors, Mr. and Mrs. Joe O'Reagan of Victoria Corners. Mr. Reagan, a tea- cher in Scarborough spoke to the class on the problems of presentday youth. For many years Easter Sun- day was designated as "All Out" Sunday in our church. A two-car crash on High- way 1 at Courtice Road at noon Saturday sent four people to hospital with in- juries. It was decided to name the club "Greenbank Modelling Misses" which was suggested by Mrs. Dempsey. The next meeting to be held at Mrs. Dempsey's on March 15. NOTICE Township Of Reach By-Law No. 2168 A BY-LAW TO RAISE $200,000.00 TO AID IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF TILE, STONE OR TIMBER DRAINS. The Council of the Township of Reach, pursuant to THE TILE DRAINAGE ACT, enacts as follows: 1. The Reeve may from time to time, subject to the provisions of tlij by-law, borrow on the credit of the corporation of the Municipality such sum not exceed- ing in the whole $200,000. as may be determined by the Council, and may in manner hereinafter provided, issue debentures of the Corporation in such sums as the Council may deem proper for the amount so bor- rowed, with coupons attached as provided in section 4 of the Act. 2. Subject to section 10 of THE TILE DRAINAGE ACT, when the Council is of opinion that the applica- tion of any person to borrow money for the purpose of constructing a drainage work should be granted in whole or in part, the Council may, by resolution, direct the Reeve to issue debentures as aforesaid and to bor- row a sum not exceeding the amount applied for, and may lend the same to the applicant on the completion of the drainage works. 3. A special annual rate shall be imposed, levied and collected over and above all other rates upon the land in respect of which the money is borrowed, suf- ficient for the payment of the principal and interest as provided by the Act.
