Last week Mr. Ken Stur- man entered Oshawa Hospi- tal for surgery to correct hi, back trouble of long stand- ing. The operation is sche- duled for today (Mon.) Back trouble is back again for ex-citizen Gary Sweetman who is in Cooksville Hospital. Still another ex, Jack Clarke of Manchester, has injuries too but he is in bed at home. Little Krista Carr spent a few days in hospital last week undergoing some tests. On Thursday, March 25th our Guides and Brownies a- long with about 100 others from the district, attended "Disney on Parade" in. Tor- onto. This trip paid for by the Mothers' group was much enjoyed by the girls. There will be a Mothers' meeting on Tuesday, April 6th at 2 p.m. in the S. S. room when they hope to plan a telephone euchre, so mothers please be there. On Saturday night Mr. and Mrs. Roy Scott were in Osh- awa attending the testimonial dinner for NDP. leader Tommy Douglas who is soon retiring as leader. Visitors at the Scott home on Thursday were Mr. Cliff- ord Holt and Mr. Al. Bailey of Toronto. Miss Elizabeth Nodwell of Sheridan College, Oakville spent her holidays with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nodwell.
