Taylor of Enniskillen celebrating Mrs. Moore's and Mr. Toms' birth- days. Mr. Foster Dempsey, Strat- ford is spending some time with his sisters, Mrs. McAr- thur and Mrs. Dempsey con- valescing from a recent op- eration. So pleased to report that several of our local residents who have been hospitalized have been released -- Fred Marlow and Miss Edna Larm- er from Oshawa Hospital and Harry VanCamp from Port Perry Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Thomp- son and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kyte enjoyed a day curling at Bowmanville on Saturday. Keith VanCamp, Harvey Graham, Herb Swain and Harold Swain participated in the Sheep Breeders Bonspiel at Bradford on Saturday. Vernon Asselstine, Ernie Swain, Ralph Larmer and Gerald Kelly participated in a Bonspiel at the Uxbridge Curling Club on Saturday. The morning Unit of the U.C.W. met at the home of Mrs. Alma Duff on Tuesday morning with a good crowd. Group leader, Mrs. Ralph Larmer presided and Mrs. Roy McLaughlin acted as secretary in the absence of Mrs. V. Parsons, Mrs. John Carnaghan presented a fine worship on the theme of our stewardship of the Creation. Mrs. Harold McLaughlin pre- sented the programme on Pollution when she gave many worthwhile and practi- cal suggestions on this time- ly topic. A committee was set up for the Banquet for the Gold Cord Guides of Lakeshore District to be held in Blackstock on Sunday, April 25th. The meeting closed with the Benediction.
