President, Ralph Honey, opened the meeting at 11.00 a.m. In his opening address, Mr. Honey gave a detailed summary of the projects carried out by the club in 1970. Mr. David H. Clemons, Asst Secretary-Manager, Hol- stein Friesian Association of Canada, was the guest speaker. The topic for Mr. Clemons' address was "Marketing Hol- stein Cattle Abroad." He mentioned that the two orga- nizations, that provide the greatest assistance, are the Provincial and Federal Gov- ernments, and while many of ffville; Harvey Blackburn, Ux- bridge ; Care Bagshaw, Sunder- land; Clarence Hewitt, Beaver- ton; John Speedie, Brechin; Norm Hogg, Uxbridge; Annual Meeting, Toronto, February 25 and 26. An announcement was made concerning the Synodi cal Annual meeting to be held in Belleville from April 20th to 22nd. Five delegates were appointed to attend. Historic mention was made of the fact that Port Perry, WMS. had celebrated their 90th Birthday in 1970. The Theme for the after. noon Session was "Seeking| God and his ways when we fear changes. The afternoon devotions, which included the "In Me moriam Service" were beauti- fully conducted by Mrs. June Nesbitt. Mrs. Black and Mrs. Joyce Nesbitt of Glenarm Tribute was paid to members who had passed away during the year. Roll call was taken with 04 members present. A beautiful solo was sung by Mrs. Fairley of Fenelon Falls accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Bruce Currie of Manilla. Mrs. D. Whelan of Beaver. ton introduced the guest Speaker, Miss Giolla, Kelly, B.A., Executive Director of National Missions, Toronto. Miss Kelly spoke of the re assessment of W.M.S. work. To avoid duplication in the work a new General Board World Misions is being form It will integrate the work so that greater things may be accomplished. The Watch Word is "Carry On". Mrs. Veale Expressed thanks to Miss Kelly and all» who had helped in any way to make the meeting a suc cess.
