Remember to attend our Sunday School Concert next Sunday night, Dec. 13th at Grace Church, 8:00 o'clock. On Dec. 2nd the regular meeting was held at the Township Hall. Our Presi- dent Eliza Fralick opened Holstein-Friesen Challenge Trophy was won by East-Central Ontario District. Animals included in the winning group are from the following farms, two from Romandale F arms Limited, one each from Oak Ridges Farms Limited, Glenafton Farms Limited, Paul Ekstein and Geraid Livingstone, Wm. F. Moore and Donald Budd. Ontario Dairy Princess Dianne Gunning, Tweed, Ontario and Mrs. J. Chadwick, Eng- land who made the presentation to Gerald Nelson Fieldman for East Central Ontario Hol- stein Friesen Association. Recently, the grade 5 classes of Mrs. Lee and Mr. Posthill of the Port Perry Public School took a bus trip to Toronto to view the Ont- ario Science Centre. Among those attending from the Is- land were Ron Brown, Mi- chael Freeman, John Bell, Cyril Kuenstler, Barry Tyson, Stephen Reese, Bruce Pren- tice, Yeoland Leduc and Tim & Kathy Kane. The child- ren found this to be an in- teresting experience from all reports, and enjoyed the day thoroughly. Mr. N. A. Sweetman & Mrs. Myrtle Miller were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Sweetman, Mr. and Mrs. H. Thomas were Wednesday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Real, of Greenbank. Last Wednesday night, the Senior Citizens Club of Port Perry held their annual Christmas dinner at the Grace Scugog United Church. There were two bus loads of people in attendance. After a delicious roast beef dinner, the members retired to the hall, where they ex- changed Christmas gifts and played euchre. A good time was had by all Ernie Cawker was home from school a few days last week, after a minor mishap at school, His mother was called to the school to re trieve him after a 'boys will be boys' incident. It seems jumped on his head!) Except for a badly swollen eye, a slight concussion and some sore bruises, he seems to be totally recovered. Don't forget the Mystery Sister Supper to be held at Grace Church, Wed., Dec. 9 at 6:30 o'clock. the evening with the call to worship. Hymn 59 was sung followed by the Lord's Pray- er. Heidi Krieg took the de- votional reading from John 15:1-12 followed by a reading. Roll Call was answered by twenty-one members and two visitors were present. Treasurer gave yearly re- port and at present time we |Bhave $406.74 on hand. This was followed by the reading of a thank-you note from the Harold King Farm. It was moved by Mabel Sweetman and seconded by Elsie Pogue that we pay $200.00 to Church Treasurer, and moved by Florence Fra- lick and seconded by Mary Tetlow and Madeline Cawker that we send $25.00 to Mis- sion and Service.
