He was in his 75th year. Son of the late William and Kezia Ferguson, the deceased was born in Cartwright town- ship where he residéd all his life. He was married in 1924 to Venora Renetta Hyland who predeceased him in 1953. A member of the Blackstock United Church and a farmer, Mr. Ferguson served as a Cartwright Township Coun cillor, and was a past presi- dent of the Cartwright Agri- cultural Society. A devoted member of the Loyal Orange Association, be was at the time of his death, financial secretary and treasurer of} Blackstock LOL #133 and re- cording secretary of the Loy al Orange County Lodge of Durham West, having been master of each Lodge. Surviving are two sons and three daughters: Grant of Torento, Mrs. Lioyd Wright 'Theima) of Blackstock, Mrs George Dunbar (Mona) of Searborough, William of Blackstock, and Mrs. Noel Morton (Sandra of Oshawa; eighteen grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Cecil Hill (Olga) of Blackstock and two bro thers. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 17 from MecDermott-Panabak- er Funeral Home, Port Perry and conducted by Rev. Vie tor Parsons. Interment was in Union Cemetery, Cadmus.
