This is the third year in in a row that the Sunderland 4-H Dairy Calf Club has won this award. It is also the third year that Gail Snoddon, R. R. 4, Sunderland, has been a member of this group. The other two members of the group this year were Pau! and Mary Scheepers, R. R. 2, Cannington The Champion group of 3 beef calves was also an Ontario county entry. The Beaverton 4-H calf club was awarded the A & P Trophy for the three hereford heifers shown by Carolyn, Chery! and Doug Smith, R. R. 2, Beaverton. Harris and Miss Denise Jeffery, accom- panied at the organ by Miss Linda Hunter. We all offer sincere sym- pathy to Mrs. E. Martyn whose aged mother passed away early Sunday morning. Speedy recovery is wished for Mrs. 1 Doyle and Mrs. Chas. Grainger who are both hospitalized and others who have been ill at home. Last Wednesday morning around ten o'clock three car- loads of U.C.W. members, plus two welcome visitors left our village heading for the newly erected home of Mr. & Mrs. Jas. Doupe, situ- ated east of Norwood. This mileage was travelled and previously planned to hon- our a sincere member Mrs. Doupe or 'as we naturally termed her as just Leta.
