The South Marysburgh Mirror January 2024/9 Roots and Wings St. Philip’s Anglican Church -By Elizabeth Hill As we write this we are preparing for a weekend of great joy, as we welcome all our friends in Milford, South Marysburgh and beyond, to come and celebrate Christ- mas with us. We were de- lighted that so many joined us at our annual Lesson & Carols Service, held on De- cember 10". It was followed by a Pot Luck Supper, and a Secret Santa gift exchange. It was so much fun watching adults plot out the gift they truly wanted to get! But back to the reason for the season — the wel- coming of the Prince of Peace — into a world where peace is very much need- ed. We want to thank eve- ryone who joined us at our Lesson & Carols and Christ- mas Services, and would like to wish you a Happy New Year, and many bless- ings for 2024. In 2024 we will be con- tinuing our Saturday Morn- ing Talks. Right now, the plans for the talks over the next few months are still being finalized — stay tuned to this article and posters in the Post Office, Library and around the County for more information. We do want you to mark your calendars for our annual Pancake Supper, which this year is on Tuesday, February (Continued on page 11) YOUR Local County Printer Handknits Large Supply of Socks One-of-a-kind Colours Merino Wool PRINT - COPY - DESIGN OFFICE SUPPLIES CALL US TODAY!
