And now, we are looking forward to the Fall, and the next big celebration at St. Philip’s — the Blessing of the Animals! Blessing of the Ani- mals is a well-established service of thanksgiving for all the creatures that make our lives just that much better. It is a worldwide cel- ebration held in early Octo- ber of the Feast of Saint Francis — the patron saint of animals and the envi- ronment.
