Wins T. V. Set On Black Draw Hugh Harrison of Lorne Park is -now one television set richer than he was last Saturday. And the Johnny Black Trust Fund has received a boost of about $575. These magical happenings were the results of a month and a half of ticket selling on the part of the Oakville-Trafalgar Junior Chamber of Comerce. All pro- ceeds from the draw went to the Black Fund. As an added good-will gesture Lofquist’s agreed to install the General Electric set absolutely free of charge. All day Saturday the Jaycees and reaped a staggering $150 in one day’s work. The draw was held at 5:30 p.m. in front of Lofquist’s store. Ned Farley, a trustee of the fund, pulled the winning ticket. Hospital Board The Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Board met last Thursday and decided to amend By-Law No. Seven to make it less binding. The By-Law deals with inner workings of the Hospital's management. Alex Tilley, chairman of the Management Committee, reported that he and Spencer Fraser had visited both the Town and Town- ship Councils to ask for a provi- sion of funds in their estimates for 1950. The Hospital Board is ask-. ing for the same money grants Held Meeting formerly given to the Temporary Hospital. This would mean a to- tal of $2,500-— $1,500 from the Town and $1,000 from the Town- ship. Mr. Tilley told Board mem- bers that in both cases the council- lors’ had assured their considera- tion.
