BRIDE-ELECT HONORED A pleasant time was spent last Tues- day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Cox, 247 Railway avenue. The occasion was the presentation of an electric iron to their popular daughter, Mabel, by a few of the em- ployees of the Swift Canadian Co. in honor of her approaching marriage. The address was read by Miss Violet Verner and although taken by sur- prise Miss Cox replied in a suitable manner. The evening was spent in games and dancing after which a dain- ty lunch was served.
