4 a: 4 aa | | 8 THE MIRROR Of Course Y ou Intend to Join The Angler's Ciub We'd like to have had a picture of the executive of the Stratford Anglers' Association as they congregated at the home of the chairman of the com- mittee, C. V. Kruspe, Downie street, the other evening. They were truly a happy lot. This feeling was brought about no doubt through reflecting on the return of the time for the most healthy of all summer pastime--Fish- ing. The old man or the young boy never seems to have been able to sup- press the instinctive feeling that they want to go a-fishing and after all to those who love this sport, what time is more pleasingly or profitably-- How dreary would the meadows be In the pleasant summer light, Suppose there wasn't a bird to sing And there wasn't a fish to bite. Apart from their personal pleasure, however, the value of repleting our streams and lakes was discussed in a way that may not be thought of by most fishermen who casually take their rod and worms and go a-fashin'. Inculclated in this discussion was the subject of the value of a more prolific supply of fish to the streams and lakes by way of an inducement to the tourists to visit Canada from the U. Ss. A. From this little neuclus of fishermen there is bound to be devel- opments and one can easily predict that greater numbers in the years to come will enjoy a fish dinner who | now have to be satisfied with ham and eggs, or other food that is not nearly so valuable or so easily digest- ed. To bring every Angler Association under one organization is a province- wide movement and is being taken up all over Ontario. Because of it being a national as well as a local movement it will un- doubtedly receive the hearty support of every citizen. FOR CORNS & CALLOUSES DR.
