THE MIRROR A NEW LODGE OF ELKS FORMED IN. THE: Criy: Mr. W. A. Brown, Grand organizer, for the Elks has been in the city for some time as a result of his doings there are a. number of Elks now at large in the city. Between forty-five and fifty learned some of the secrets of Ekdom the other evening and out- side members of the order placed the following officers in their respective positions in the forest: Exalted Rul- er, Harry Booth; esteemed leading knight, Dr,-Donald Fraser; esteemed loyal knight, Howard Morrow; es- teemed lecturing knight, A HE F. Mr. Brown thinks that with the help of the brother Elks that he will be able to have the lodge up to the 100 mark before the 18th of Dec., the next meeting night, After the installation a banquet gave a number of the newly-elected, and, outside members an opportunity to show how they could enjoy them- selves in this way. Elect Officers The Stratford Ladies' Lawn Bowl- ing Club elected these officers for next season: Hon, Pres., Mrs. R. J. Easson; president, Mrs. G. Norna- bell; 1st vice-president, Mrs. H. Van- stone; 2nd vice-president, Mrs. John Stevenson; secretary, Mrs. C. B. Heath; treasurer, Miss C. Matheson; games committee, Miss Eva Boles. for evening games, Mrs. H. Nield for afternoon games; grounds committee, Mrs. H. F. Schmidt. The retiring president, Mrs. R. J. Hasson, pre- sided at the meeting. LATE THOMAS FAGG The funeral of the late Mr. Thom- as Fagg, was held from his residence on Blake street Monday morning. The services being conducted by Rev. Canon W. T. Cluff. The pallbearers were fellow workmen of the de- ceased. They were Messrs. W. Arn- old, W. Murray, W. Kidnew, W. Richards, J. Gome-and F. Betts. Mr. Fage's death Friday morning followed an accident which occurred in the C.N.R. Shops where he had been. employed for a considerable length of time. He had been a resi- dent of the city for about eighteen years, having moved to Canada from the Old Country, during which time he gained the respect of his fellow workmen ang all who knew him.
