This is usually a safe hand to play, but one of the unfortunate things about a question of this kind is that if it did not carry by a vote of the people, the man with a fam- lly, who is the country's largest bene- factor, and who would receive the greatest benefit from a vocational school, might be outclassed by those who have no interest in this dtree- tion. In conversation with hundreds of the city's mechanics, however, we have not found men objectioning to the building of a vocational school.
