AMizDale, of Ethel, who has the contract of rebuilding Sohn Sanders house and James Brown's house has nearly completed the game, which is making vast improvement to both places. Mr. McNaughton, of Cran- brook, is doing the brick work who is making a first clase job. On Sunday next there will be special Harvest Thankegiving services in St. Alban's church at 11 a.m. and again at 7. Special music will be rendered by the choir. The Rev A. L. G. Clarke, of London, will be the preacher for the day. The Sun- day school will meet at 10 a.m.--H. B. Ashby, Incumbent. While unloading a car of granite to the G.T.R. station, Listowel, the oth- er morning, Mr. R. T. Kemp had one of his feet seyerely crushed by a lar- ge pieco of granite falling upon it. He was taken home and the injury dressed. The foot is badly crushed. The accident may confire him to bis house for some time. The Harvest Home Festival at Moncrieff, on Tuesday night was a desided success. Monkton quartette, Walton and Union choir, and other select pieces, together with dialogues made it one of the greatest gather- ings ever beld otf our little burg. The autograph quilt was sold for $10.00 and the' shams for $2.00, making the net sum for the evening $149.50. HARVEST THANKSGIVING.--St. Alban's Church, Atwood, Supper and Concert to be held in the Music Hall on Sept. 26th, 1910. Supper will be served from 5.30 to 8 p.m. followed by a grand concert consisting of the following, solos, duetts, quartettes, instrumental, violin selections, corn- et selections, readings, etc, The res- ident ministers will be present, also Rev. A. L. G. Clarke, of London, one of the cities singers. Concert and Supper, Admission 25c. Home-made candy and ice cream for sale. A fishing pond will also be a great attraction. The 52nd anniversary of the Pres- byterian church, Atwood, was held on Sunday and Monday last with gratifying results. Sunday Rev. Mr, Paulin, of Woodstock, addressed the large congregations with two brilliant sermons. Monday eveniug the gathér- ing was large and the programme given was very inspiring. The choir gave some choice music, the address given by Mr. Paulin, on the Northern Lights was most interesting while Rev. J. C.
