Jim Bell wrote several columns based upon a diary that was written by Mrs. J.M. (Elizabeth) Grover, granddaughter of Mrs. Matthew Goslee (Anne Schuyler).
Grover’s diary was published as a short chapter entitled "Mrs. Grover, of Seaton Hall, Colborne" in Emma Augusta Currie's “The Story of Laura Secord and Canadian Reminiscences.” A digital copy of this publication can be found on the Internet Archive - please see the link at the right of this catalogue record. There is also a link to Heritage Cramahe’s “The Schuyler/Goslee Family” that covers the family’s history in depth with special attention to numerous details from Grover's account.
