Wren Blair has ap- pointed Oval Tessier as assistant coach for his second term. His duties begin after the club has been picked. Tessier will handle the club in practices with Wren guiding the club from the bench during the games. The Frontenacs will have Tom McCarthy at camp, and expect him to line-up with them for the coming Eastern Pro season. McCarthy was purchased} from the Detroit Red Wings by Boston Bruin Lynn Patrick. He was brought from the Su ) Wolves in mid-season last year, and finished the 1960-61 campaign with the Bruins. He has been the scoring leader at Sudbury for the past two seasons. The Frontenacs will have three potent goal scorers with McCarthy, Orv Tessier and former Whitby Dun- lop star, Bobby Attersley. Bob expects to 6 attend pre-season work-outs this year providing he can leave his business for that length of time. Attersley didn't join Kingston until November last year, was unable to make practises, and still topped the Frontenacs' scoring parade. Four days after Kingston don the blades they will get their first taste of live action when they host the Boston Bruins at the Kingston Community centre on Fridav September 22. The following Monday, the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Black Hawks appear in Kingston, with a large contingent of Beleville fans expected to take in that contest to see hometown favourite Bobby Hull.
