Campbell SPORTS EDITOR 'Everything From Soup To Nuts' SCUGOG CLEANERS defeated MacLean's Esso last night in the final game of the City and District Asso= ciation's Major League schedule and the win clinched second place for the strong Junior team, with MacLean's having to settle for third slot. Playoffs in this league have been postponed for at least one week, until the teams have each got settled away in their OASA play- downs. Tony's Vendors play in Peterborough tonight; the Juniors play Tuxedo Junction of North York here on Saturday night; Heffering's play in Whitby tonight and MacLean's go to Brooklin tomorrow night--all flood- light fixtures and all OASA games. TONIGHT, here at home, we find Oshawa Tony's "meeting Eddie Black's in their last home game of the Beaches League schedule. Tony's have already clinched second place in the standing. Black's need one more win to cinch a playoff slot so they'll be going all-out tonight "to take this one. Tony's are scheduled to meet Hamilton "Fotheringhams in their OASA Senior "A" first round, which means they"1l be facing Johnny Edwards, the for- mer Jarvis softball sensation, who beat Mel Meulemeester 'when the left-hander was with Brooklin in Intermediate HC" playdowns, two years ago. . SEVEN BOYS from the Oshawa Minor Hockey Association set-up are going to be at Niagara Falls, 'when "Hap" Emms' Junior "A" Flyers start. their train- ing camp activities on August 27.
