That ended it for Ted Baylis, who had relieved Service in the came in to replace Baylis, got Reeson and Tom Brewer bul Jim Pipher tripled, to score Bell and Dowe, for a three-run splurge that made the score 9-7. This provided an exciting fin ish to the game, especially in the 9th, when Bell opened with a single, Reeson also hit safely with one out, but then Mullins got Brewer and Pipher to end the game ton Bell, with four singles in five trips, was Oshawa's big hitter. After the interval, Hollandia put on a drive and took advan- tage of a lapse in Thistle's de-|U fence, who were dribbling too much and Vermuellen and Wil- liams scored in quick succession to tie the game and set Thistle back on their heels. Mid-way through the second period, Thistle went ahead on a goal by Docherty and Harrigan made it number four, in the closing minutes. . KICKERS EDGE POLONIA . In the second game, some good football was played with a much improved Polonia taking on an equally improved Kick- ers. Both teams battled through- out the first half and good net- minding by both goalies, kept the score at zero in the first half. In the second period, it was Polonia who counted first on a lovely drive by Suchelewski. However, this did not worry Kickers as they pressed hard- er and were rewarded when Seide rocketed home the equal- izer. A few minutes later, Seide again scored to put Kickers in front, with a well-taken "head- er" which proved to be the win- ner scoreless and in the second period goals by J, Williams for J and Leo Choleniuk for Strila were enough to divide the points. . HUNGARIA WIN ANOTHER . On Sunday, the game between Hungaria and Italia started off fast and Rohr in the Italian nets was soon called on to bring off two fine saves to foil Hun- garia forwards. Italia went on the attack and Di-Daniela shook the upright with a rocket shot. Five minutes later, Duiella had the Hungarian goal at his mercy but shot wide. Back came Hungaria and at 24-minutes took the lead on a goal by Tally, from close in. Thirteen minutes later, Varga converted another to give Hun- garia a 2-0 lead at the half The second half was only four minutes old when Simone in- creased Hungaria's lead. Italia came back once more and Duiella scored a picture goal, with a back kick over his head. Play became sloppy from then on, with lots of petty fouls. Italia got the ball in the net once more but it was chalked Thistle Strila Italia Hollandia Kickers Pete.
