With two out, Bus Jenson homered to deep centre, mak- ing it 84 and then Rose flied out to end the inning. As it turned out -- it ended the game, as the Orchard Park team had used up their only two substitutes in line-up changes earlier in the game and with Haig's dismissal, were unable to field nine players, resulting in the game being forfeited. Prior to this, two members of the homesters had got the heave-ho, both for verbal abuse, Scugog Cleaners Defeat Lakefield win with their last three runs. Eakins held Scugog Cleaners off the score-sheet, with _only four early hits, until the 7th in- ning when Ray Suddard tied the game with a homer over the fence. With two out, Young doubled and scored when March was safe on an error, making it 2-0. The Oshawa team added their other three runs in the 9th when Wright was safe on the catch- er's error then Suddard tripled for his third hit of the night. Jackie Cole walked and Young singled. Sadowski hit into a choice play that saw Cole re- tired at third but Young scored later on a wild pitch, to conclude the scoring. Suddard's three hits were best for Scugogs, homer, triple and single. Young was right along- side with a double and two singles while Jackie Sneddon had two singles. Neighborhood Boys 'Softball Results In Neighborhood Association Pee Wee boys' Softball League action last night, two of the games reported a variety of action, with Lake Vista lads scoring a one-sided 14-1 victory over Rundle Park boys, at Rundle and in another league game, Storie Park Pee Wees nosed out Nipigon Park 7.5, at the Nipigon diamond. In this latter game, Storie won the game with a six-run rally in the fifth inning, when Wilson of Nipigon, who had six strikeouts and faced only 14 batters in four frames, suddenly ran into trouble on singles by McKenzie and Usher, a walk to Murray and a double by Ostle with Neu- man, Bilinski, Wright and Cam- eron all hitting safely as well, to keep the rally rolling. Bilinski homered in the 7th for their other run. Wright fanned 11 Nipigon bat- ters and had control once his team took the lead. At Rundle Park, Moak sin- gled in the fourth inning and scored on Todd's triple for the only run young Hudgin allowed. {The Lake Vista boys scored in every inning, with six in the second stanza being their big effort. Myers, Bremner, Wal lace, who homered and tripled, Blanchard and Logan, all hit well for the winners. VERSALLES RETURNS MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Zoilo Versalles, who jumped Minne- sota Twins July 5, will rejoin the team and his $500 fine will be pared. President Calvin Griffith an- nounced the decision Thursday, saying Versalles "was phys- ically sicker than we knew at that time" but adding that the shortstop's abrupt departure still could not be wholly ex- cused. Versalles, 20, had an intes- tinal illness discovered after he suddenly left the club and was suspended. Griffith said the ill- ness '"'might have aggravated an emotional upset at being far from his wife and native land (Cuba)."
