Wandless was in- stalled as president of Gertrude Colpus Home and School Asso- ciation at its annual meeting held recently. She succeeds Mrs. Ross Edmunds who has been president for the past three years. The other officers are: vice- presidents, Mrs. George Luh- tala and Mrs. Lloyd Weider- ick; recording secretary, Mrs. W. R. Renison; treasurer, Mrs. Stanley Russell; corresponding secretary, Mrs. D. J. Munroe. Executive members: Mrs. J. A. Crew, Mrs. Morgan Self, Mrs. Alex Repa, Mrs. Robert Sutherland. Chairmen: Program, Mrs. Leon Davey; Family Life, Mrs. Robert Sheffield; Child Read- ing, Visual Aids, Mrs. Henry Glecoff; health and safety, Mrs. Charles Bolton; citizen- ship, Mrs. Earl Brown; social, Mrs. Charles Smith, Mrs. Earl Brown; membership, Mrs. Rob- ert Beharrell; publications, Mrs. Harold McCabe; hospitality, Mrs. Austin Sudsbury. The new executive was in- stalled by Mrs. George Moss, vice-president of Home and School Council, who congratu- lated the Association on its achievements and wished the new executive every success. The past executive was thank- ed by Mrs. Earl Brown. Mrs. Ross Edmunds presid- ed at the meeting and reports were presented from the var- ious committees. An important part of the even- ing was the presentation of mu- sical numbers by the primary choir comprised of pupils from Grades 2 and 3 under the direc- tion of Miss Rosalind Stephens. The Bell Ringers under the leadership of Mr. Jack Hutchin- son also presented a musical number. The teachers and the pupils were congratulated for their fine effort. The minutes were read by Mrs. G. A. Wandless and the treasurer's report given by Mrs. Stanley Russell. The president's report was given by Mrs. Ross Edmunds who is retiring this year. Mrs. Edmunds mentioned the various activities and achievements of the Home and Bchool Association during the past year and thanked each one for her help. Mr. George Red- dick, principal, stated that re- port cards would be given out shortly. He also thanked Mrs. Edmunds for her help and as- sistance during the past three The next meeting will be held on the first Monday in Oc- tober.
