Tributes To Mom I THINK MY MUM'S THE GREATEST BECAUSE . . . she sometimes lets me have what I want. She is very nice to me and my friends. Most of the time when I am exhausted she comes to help me with my homework if I ask. Everytime I'm in trouble she is always near me to tell me what's right or wrong. Even if my mother does not do these things I'll always love her and protect her - if I can. That's why I think my mother's the greatest. Janice Barbaric (11 yrs.), 220 Ritson road south I THINK MY MUM'S THE GREATEST BECAUSE . . . Mum does not give into me, and doesn't spoil me. Mum will not let me go out and stay around the streets, which 1 am very glad for. Lots of times I don't want to go to church at night, but my Mum makes me. I know some day I'll be glad. On my birthday Mum gave me a party. In the summer Mum is going to let me go to a camp. When I was a little girl Mum made me a beautiful dress and worked late. many nights to finish it. This is why I think my Mum's the greatest in the world. Elaine Sargeant (12 yrs.), 156 Burk street I THINK MY MUM'S THE + GREATEST BECAUSE . . . Mum is nice to me and let's me go where ever 1 want sometimes, and she makes me pretty dresses and other things. -My mother always stays home to look after us, and she makes a good cooked meal. 1 like my Mom's baking, cookies, pies, butter tarts and cakes, and Mom's the greatest because I love her very much. I THINK MY MUM'S THE GREATEST BECAUSE . . . she's the kindest, sweetest per- son I know. She works very hard to provide food and cloth- ing for me, and pay for the house in which I live. Although I get cross when I have to do dishes and tidy up the house once in awhile, I know how hard she works to keep me fed and clothed, and I als» know 1 will never be able to replay all I owe her, so I don't mind doing the dishes and tidying the house up once in awhile, because Ij know that makes her happy. 1 love my Mom because she's the only one I will ever have, and I love her mostly because she's my Mom. I sure think she's tops. Jean Miller (10 yrs.), I THINK MY MOM'S THE GREATEST BECAUSE . . . she has worked so hard to fully support me since I was two years old and we have been pals. We go on trips, picnics and to church together. She lis- tens to my teenage problems and helps me to solve them. I know that I'm not very easy to handle sometimes, but she is always very kind, patient, and understanding. 1 sometimes want things which aren't good for me and she helps me to see what's best, it helps me to grow into a good citizen and kind, patient woman. I often feel as if she's dead against me when I can't get my own way, but after I think about it, I realize, it probably wasn't good for me and I can see her reasons for not giving me my own way. Thanks to my mother, Maybeth Hoagland (13 yrs.), 79 Highland avenue, Oshawa, Ontario. I THINK MY MUM'S THE GREATEST BECAUSE . . . she is kind and always thinks of us before herself. Sometimes she yells at us but we really she's teaching us right. When she hits us it sometimes hurts, but after a while we go tell her "Thank you for straightening us out." That's why I like my Mom.
