(CP Wirephoto) Society Holds Captains' Tea BROOKLIN -- The Brooklin Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society recently held a 'Cap tain's Tea", at the home of Mrs. J. F. Carnwith, to set the wheels of the Campaign For Funds in motion. Great bowls of daffodils were the focal points of the tea, and the execu- tive of the branch wore the bright yellow smocks of the Can- cer Society. The president, Mrs. Chas. Robson, presided at the tea ta- ble. The kits were given out by the campaign chairman, Mrs. J. K. Lawrence, and co-chair man,, Mrs. S. Egan assisted by Mrs. H. P. The president, Mrs. Clifford Johnstone, extended a hearty welcome to a large number of members, parents, and guests attending. Mrs. Jeff Bailey read the minutes. Financial state- ment to date was given by Mrs. William Manning. Mrs. Bryson informed the meeting the list of school ex- hibits for Brooklin Spring Fair were arranged, and judge ap- pointed. Information received from Home and School Federation listed report on resolutions passed, tabled, and defeated at annual meeting in Toronto. Parents please note: Kinter- garten registration will be held on Friday, April 28, 1.30 to 3.30 p.m. at the Meadowcrest Jun- ior School for enrolment of new pupils.
