i Loch Ness 'Monster' In Movies LONDON (Reuters)--A movie claiming to show the elusive and legendary monster in Scotland's gloomy Loch Ness was screened on British television Monday night. The 40-second film showed a blurred object which was at first stationary, but then moved away lazily, swerving to the right and left Finally the shape picked up speed and moved down the loch at a steady 10 miles an hour, throwing out a white foaming wake: : Aeronautical engineer Timothy Dinsdale, 36, is positive that he saw and photographed the mys- terious creature which hundreds elaim to have sighted in the murky Scottish lake. : After six days of watching, Dinsdale said he spotted a red- dish-brown "hump" about 1,300 yards across the loch April 23. The "hump" had a large dark blotch on its left flank. It had no fin, but a pronounced ridge ran down its back. He said the creature moved to within about 400 yards from him. Dinsdale estimated its neck was six feet long and its body 30 feet, He was convinced what he saw was not the work of a prankster and that it was not a submarine on the lake, 24 miles long and about a mile wide. The accounting had been ques- #ioned by Auditor-General Max- well Henderson in his report to the Commons. Miss Waters ap- peared before the committee to explain X was 2 "quite unique" case, she said. 'Never been done be- fore." And, asked ecommities ehair- man Alan Macnaughton, would it be done again? Oh, no, said Miss Waters, never again, Mr. Macnaughton smiled--and #0 did most of the other eom- mittee members. He excused her, with a remark that if she hadn't been "such a charming witness" there would likely have been more questions, Parliament ' At-A-Glance By THE CANADIAN PRESS Monday, June 13, 1960 The Commons put on a spurt to approve in principle the amendments to the Estate Tax Act.
