IN DARLINGTON Board Resists Bylaw Change HAMPTON (Staff) -- Darling- ton township council and plan- ning board held a joint meeting in the township hall Tuesday night to discuss problems and troubles which have arisen from the recentlv approved township zoning bylaw. The meeting was told that sug- gestions made by Reeve Roy W. Nicholls for easement of zoning restrictions on lot sizes, and the $400 service charge on lots sold within' the township were not yet approved by council. The plan- ning board was also told that neither the reeve or council wish- ed to make it appear that there was any criticism of the planning board's actions. Planning Board chairman Mor- ley Wyman said the board would stand by its decisions on the new zoning bylaw. The board did not think that the minimum lot cov- erage of 1500 feet for townsh': homes should be altered. He said that it had not interfered with with the R3 1050 square foot house on a lot 200 by 80 feet. He would like to see the 1290 squa ? foot R2 house on a 200 foot lot brought down to 1150 square feet|® on the same size lot; the RI' house reduced to 1250 square feet on the same 100 by 200 foot lot. And the 1500 s,uare foot house| on 150 by 250 foot lots in agri- cultural zones reduced to 1250] % square feet on 100 bv 200 foot lots. "WALKED TOO FAST" | Deputy-reeve Garnet B.
