The mayor's salary of $20,706 will also be increased by 3 per cent, bringing his annual salary up to $21,327. | Council has only endorsed the 2002 pay hikes; they have only tentatively agreed to a 4 per cent raise in 2003 and another 2 per cent raise in 2004. The formula for the salary hikes is similar to the raises granted to CUPE employees recently, said Ward 2 Councillor Marilyn Pearce. "We only agreed to the first year raise, to the 3 per cent. The other raises are tentative. Our raises are tied to the ones given in the CUPE settlement," she said. Under that agreement, local unionized township employees will see a 3 per cent hike in 2001, 4 per cent in 2002, and another 2 per cent raise in 2003.
