According to 26 Division Inspector Bill Temple of the North Durham Community Police Office, the investi- ~ gation began after the owner of a farm house called police. "The owner came to check out this property and noticed two vehicles in the driveway that should not have been there," Insp. Temple said. "Officers were called and an investigation began." The rural farm house, which according to police was supposed to be unoc- cupied, showed signs of life and both vehicles were reported stolen, say police As day broke last Thursday, a call by officers to the home for residents to exit went unanswered and the TAC Unit set up a perimeter around the home, which was located on the 4th Concession of Uxbridge and Webb Rd. Police are searching for several more suspects and arrests are said to be forthcoming. Sunnybrae GC targeted by vandals Durham Regional Police say that vandals had their own golf cart demolition derby on the grounds of Sunnybrae Golf Course last weekend. According to reports, vandals entered the course on the night of Sept. 23 and drove golf carts into each other and damaged greens on the course with the machines.
