Moms, grandmoms, aunts, sisters-in-law, here's your chance to bid on designer items for your favorite toddler ages two to four. Over 15 items of designer clothing in sizes 2T to 4T featuring the engaging Franklin the Turtle motifs have been donated by artists Brenda Clark, creator of the Franklin image and illustra- tor of the very popular Franklin books and tapes to - the Susie Sorabiji Chapter IODE to use as a ° fundraiser for IODE Chapter work. These fashions are sold exclusively in the United States and these items have been made available to the chapter, but may not be sold, hence the need to offer them by Silent Auction. The articles of clothing are by notable designers of children's clothing. Hooded, lined, reversible jackets, t-shirts, pajamas, coveralls with matching shirts, all with the Franklin the Turtle motif in a variety of boys and girls styles are available. . The Silent Auction will be held in the Gould Room of "the Uxbridge Public Library in conjunction with the special Celebration of the Arts Books and Authors presentations jointly spon- sored by Uxbridge Public Library, Blue Heron Books and the Roxy Theatre to be held at the Uxbridge Public Library on Saturday morn- ing, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon. This Silent Auction will be for adults only and those wishing to place a bid or bids on these endearing items may do so at any time during the morning of Sept. 22 while their toddlers are being entertained by readings by children's authors in the downstairs of the library and at the Roxy Theatre. All items will have a reserve bid and will be awarded to the successful bidder following the Books and Authors moming at the library. Refreshments will be served outside under a canopy. following the book signing.
