Blackstock Cares: Fund for kids in abuse case By Chris Hall Weekend Star Blackstock cares about its own. That's the message three young women are hoping to send to "the two teenaged boys who allegedly suffered horrific abuse at the hands of their parents. Three local teens, 15-year-old Brandy Jones of Caesarea and Ashley Fallis and Abby McLaughlin of. Blackstock, both 16 - - launched an initiative Tuesday which they hope will see local res- idents and those beyond the borders of Blackstock rally around the two teens, An oversized card, stating "Blackstock cares", will be forward- 'ed along to the two youths, who are currently in the care of the Durham Region Childrens' Aid Society. It is hoped that the messages contained in the card, along with donations which will be forwarded to the boys, will show the two teens that their community does care about them.
