The fee for waste or mixed loads remains at $90 per tonne. - NG fees are charged at eijther site for vehicles containing only blue box materials or household hazardous waste. Those who use the Blackstock facility, located at 3590 Edgerton Rd., are also reminded of the new hours of operation. The Cartwright site will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday only. At first, region officials had decided to close the facility entirely, but have instead opted to extend its use by at least one year. The hours of operation remain the same at the Port Perry facility; it's open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sunday, Monday and holidays. From May to October, it's open Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's located on Reach St., just west of Scugog Arena. Both sites accept regular garbage, scrap metal, wood and brush, blue box materials, appliances, waste oil and filters, propane tanks, car and household batteries, tires, drywall, and leaf and yard waste.
