George and Marion Comer presented their find recently to Star staff, all of whom were amazed at the abnormal size of the mushroom- like growth. "We built a*new car port last year and then later we noticed it stick- ing up through about two inches of gravel," said Mr. Comer, who lives on Main St. Waiting and watching the morel grow, the Comers became amazed at its size. "We've been getting they're usually about the size of normal mushroom," §said Mr. Comer. "This one is humongous; we've never seen one this big." .
