At 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 4 the tour begins with a Wine and Cheese Celebration at Port Perry's Ocala Winery, 971 High Point Road, (south of Port Perry) where guests will be able to meet with the artists and view what may be in store for them. Continuing on Saturday, May 5 through to Sunday, May 6, artists open their homes and studios to curious travellers. With work by 22 artists shown in 12 studios, visitors will see a wide variety of media, from photography to painting 'with oils or watercolour, from woodtuming to Studio tour gets rolling first weekend in May pottery, from glass sculpture to metal sculpture, from baskets to weaving. Visitors are welcome to browse, enjoy some refresh- ments and chat with the artists themselves. People will come away with a better appreciation of the dedication and commitment displayed by the artists, and maybe even leave with a one of a kind find. The Lake Scugog Studio Tour is a free tour. Visitors can plot their own tour to start and finish at any studio. Brochures and a tour map can be found at travel cen- tres, libraries, galleries, and stores through Durham and the Greater Toronto Area.
