Ontario Launches Pollution Hotline The Ontario government kicked off Earth Week by launch- ing its toll-free, 24 hour public hotline for reporting acts of pollu- tion. This consultation paper and: draft legislation, if passed, would mean that areas such as insur- ance, stock investments, mort- gages, pensions and banking would all be handled by a single regulator known as the Ontario Financial Services Commission. Finance Minister Jim Flaherty announced the consultation process last week and added that he looks forward to tabling this legislation in the autumn session of the legislature.
