Business award announced at Chamber AGM Saturday The Scugog Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting and business recognition dinner will be held on Saturday, March 24 at the Scugog Community Centre, 1655 Reach Road, Port Perry. The doors will open with a reception starting at 6:30 p.m. The formal meeting portion of the evening which will include the election of directors and general business matters will be held at 7 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. dinner will be served, Irwin Smith, local busi- nessman and an accom- plished musician, will be performing a number of piano selections during the reception and dinner. After dinner at 9 p.m. the Scugog Business of the Year Award will be pre- sented to a business which has best epitomized the spirit and success of our business community. After the awards pre- sentation Claidmore, a well known local musical singing group, will perform for the pleasure of the guests from approximately 9:45 to 10:45 p.m. Tickets for the annual general meeting and din- ner are available in advance from the chamber office or any director.
