~ | : Nominations for 'Ethics In Action' prize now open Nominations are now open for the Ethics in Action 2001 Awards for Ontario companies and individuals who make social responsibility part of their business practices and decision-making. The nomination - process is being launched today as part of the Canadian Centre of Ethics and Corporate Policy's lun- cheon meeting at Toronto's Ontario Club. The Ethics in Action Awards recognize busi- nesses and individuals whose corporate actions and decisions are making a positive impact on their communities and who are making social responsibili- ty a part of their daily operations. Originally cre- ated in 1994 for the Vancouver area through a partnership between VanCity Savings Credit Union and The Workplace Ministry Society, this is the third year of the awards being in Ontario, thanks to the support of Citizens Bank of Canada::and: pent Co--- Mountain Equi op. The awards program has two categories of recogni- tion: Ongoing Social Responsibility and Socially Responsible Decision-Making.
